Vote on CACR 32

Why vote nay on Itl vote for cacr 32?

The vote was to put the question on the ballot for the people of NH to decide. I voted against killing the bill, however there are more options available to the House than pass or kill, so a vote against killing isn't the same as a vote to pass. Another option is to Interim Study the bill which would allow for more hearings on the issue to understand the ramifications of such a question on the ballot were to pass and to understand why breaking up the USA is so popular right now. I have a suspicion that it is popular because there are states that no longer respect or want to abide by the Constitution and quite possibly that many actions which the federal government has done which some believe go against the Constitution and the fact that the Supreme Court has not been willing or able to keep the other branches of government or government agencies within the bounds of the Constitution.

I suggested to some supporters of a peaceful divorce of the union that NH Citizens like the Constitution, so what they should be asking for is for states that are opposed to (and are not following) the Constitution to leave so they can create their own. However, some believe that the Constitution has been so perverted by congress and the federal agencies is that there is no hope of getting the current federal government scope to be back within the Constitution so starting over without the baggage is the only way to live up to the dreams of the Founders.

I am not scared of those questions or debates, so I think having more hearings on the issue would have been better than voting to sweep it under the rug as something we are not allowed to talk about. If we make peaceful revolution impossible we make a violent revolution inevitable.
